With Apple’s next conference (assumedly announcing the Apple Watch) getting closer and closer, rumors have begun to spread about what capabilities the Apple Watch will include. After doing a bit of research, we’ve come up with our top 3 reasons we want to buy one (and you should too)!

1. It’s a Fashion Statement
The first thing that we need to get out of the way is that the Apple Watch is as much a fashion statement as it is a tool. With options ranging from a less expensive fun and colorful watch that your friends will love to something a bit more expensive and professional, like the stainless steel version that will look great with your next business suit, you’re bound to be at the top of your style game. Heck, they’re even offering an 18k gold watch for all you high rollers out there! Our point is this, there will be a version of the watch for everyone to wear, and there are plenty of options to fit your unique personality.

2. It will Track Your Health and Fitness

Smart Watch Don BasileWhen it comes down to health and fitness, Apple has been trying to take the Apple Watch one step further than the competition. For a while, there was a rumor going around that Apple was planning on adding EKG and other sensors that could measure your stress and other important health stats. Those rumors were quickly debunked with the understanding that the sensors didn’t work as expected.

Instead, Apple has decided to stick with what works by adding the standard GPS, accelerometer, gyroscope and HR monitor. Like most fitness bands on the market, the Apple Watch will have the ability to track your runs, count your calories, plan your routes, etc. That being said, fitness and health apps are just a fraction of the thousands of apps that will be available for the watch.

3. It Could Replace Your Credit Card, TV Remote and Maybe Even Your Keys

Don Basile Mobile PaymentsThe final and in our opinion the most appealing reason to buy an Apple Watch is the watch’s potential to replace a few of the annoying items your forced to carry around with you daily.

Tired of carrying your wallet around wherever you go? With Apple Pay on your watch, paying for your groceries becomes a simple swipe of your wrist. No more worrying about carrying credit cards or cash everywhere you go. Can’t find your TV remote? Your watch never leaves your side and won’t ever get lost in the bottomless pit that is the cushions of your couch.

Rumor even has it that there could be the ability to unlock your car using nothing but your watch. Though this is just a rumor, think of how nice that would be to get rid of that giant key fob in your pocket!

These are just a few of the things we think we know about the Apple Watch, but when it comes right down to it, nothing is for sure until Apple makes the announcement on March 9th.
